I grew up Summit, NJ and moved to Albuquerque, NM four years ago to be closer to my wife's family. I enjoy playing guitar, folding origami, and being in nature. If I ever get rich I want to fly to Japan and have a sushi dinner at the restaurant of the sushi chef in the documentary Jiro Dreams of Sushi.
I've been working in the civic and tech spaces for the past 8 years. After a 2 year stint at the Kettering Foundation, trying to figure out how to make democracy work, I founded my own civic tech company CivNet, a network for community organizers. 3 years later, after teaching myself to code, taking a crash course in design-thinking through the Matter accelerator program, and climbing multiple mountains daily, I decided to wind-down CivNet. As fate would have it, opportunity was around the corner. I joined the Lens team in June 2018 and I haven't looked back.
